Tyler Group has completed and been awarded an ABC Merit award for the extensive renovation to a historical building located in downtown Philadelphia, MS.  From the concept, we worked closely with the historical commission to assure that the renovation was authentic.  This project was completed in three months and finished on schedule. 

Upgrades to the building include new electrical, mechanical and plumbing.  A new roof was added and restoration brickwork was revitalized by historical standards utilizing high lime content mortar to stabilize structural walls and foundations.  The face of the building has been exposed by removing a layer of cement based stucco and wire lathe.  Windows, doors, awning and paint scheme have all gone through a submittal and approval process with the Historical Commission before procurement.  The structure was restored to the period shown in the photo to the left.  The photo was provided by the Philadelphia Historical Commission and was the basis for the restoration.
